SALT established the Finishing Strong Project to break this trend to provide financial, motivational, and educational support to students who strive to complete high school in the Dunoon/Milnerton area.
The main aim of the Finishing Strong programme is to provide extra educational support. Senior pupils benefit from Saturday tutor workshops, while junior pupils receive mid-week tutoring support.
Financial support is important in equipping students with the appropriate tools and resources, including uniforms, stationery, and access to internet/textbooks. This is where Managing Director, Mike Russon gave the kids at SALT a boost in learning by donating an amount of R 43 450.00 for tablets to be purchased to enable the kids access to online learning.
